Tears Of Joy  Psalm 126:5
God created our lives to have a purpose. He created us to have meaning and have joy. The name of our band comes from Psalm 126:5,6 which reads:

“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”

Those tears are Tears of Joy, which represent the deep desire to see others come to Jesus Christ. It is on our heart that you can have an opportunity to hear about the love Jesus Christ has for you.

The Bible says we are all sinners and as a result we have separated ourselves from God (Romans 3:23; 5:12). The Bible also shows us that we cannot earn our way into heaven through good deeds or kind intentions (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5). That’s why Jesus came to earth to pay the price for our sins (John 3:16). It was his death on the cross that paid the penalty for our sin (1 John 1:7).

Jesus said that we need to Repent (Luke 13:3;5), which means to make a decision to completely change our way of living and act on it. It is through our repentance that we are able to ask God to forgive us of our sins, and to give us a home in heaven. He now has Tears of Joy for each of us in the band because we have decided to repent and give our lives to Him.

What kind of tears does Jesus have for you?

Matt Armstrong, New Years Eve 2000-2001

Many teens came to Christ during the intermission of the New Years Eve Tears Of Joy concert, held at The Chapel, in Williamsville, NY.  Our Good friends Day And A Half played an earlier set of great music as well.
